Large-scale production capacity

Portes et Fenêtres Verdun, a family-owned-and-operated Quebec-based company located in Saint-Bruno on the South Shore of Montreal, has been well-established for 55 years. We’ve succeeded in growing and reinforcing our position as industry leaders by injecting more than 8 million dollars in our manufacturing operations since 2019. Our new 70,000-square-foot plant features a linear design concept aimed at optimizing our door production line. We’ve ramped up production with the aid of computer numerical control (CNC) lines. Since 2020, Alain Pion, son of the company’s founder, has been the owner of Groupe Verdun, along with his two adult children, Catherine and Philippe.

Our extensive manufacturing capacity enables us to produce a wide variety of products to satisfy your needs. We offer an ample selection of doors ranging from the sure-value B03 to the all-new high-performance energy-efficient NHP.

A new generation of steel doors

Designed to withstand the harsh Quebec winters, the new Novatech High Performance (NHP) door system responds to the growing demand for products favoring eco-responsible energy consumption.

A competitive advantage

Thanks to our extensive investments in state-of-the-art automated CNC equipment, our factory is capable of manufacturing parts with exceptional precision and speed. When you choose our company, you’ll benefit from efficient, reliable production that will enable you to save time and stay ahead of the competition.

We’re experienced!

The long-term relationships we’ve built with our suppliers, as well as our ability to predict the required volumes and plan our orders accordingly, ensure that our inventories never run out. So we know what we’re doing!

A reflection of good governance

Our dynamic Human Resources Department promotes the ongoing training and development of all our employees. As such, we’ve developed a systematic onboarding and training program for administrative employees and factory workers, alike. We’ve also implemented an equitable salary structure.

You’ll find what you’re looking for

Thanks to our business partners, we can offer a highly varied selection of models and options in doors ranging from classic to contemporary styles. We make long-term business relationships a priority. As a result, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating with excellent suppliers, some of which we’ve worked with for more than 30 years.

Continuous improvement

We systematically perform two types of QA checks. The first takes place on the production line during the manufacturing process, while the second takes place once the finished product is ready for packaging and delivery. We monitor every phase of production, carefully measuring and verifying everything. However, we don’t stop there; we also perform a thorough analysis. This means that, when necessary, we work to get to the root of a problem in order to continuously improve our processes.

A guarantee of premium quality and efficiency

This facility, which we’ve designed to ensure superior quality, is undoubtedly a competitive advantage. We execute the painting phase internally in an isolated environment, with rapid drying capacity and specialized lighting resulting from optimized production methods. The quality of the paint we use and our rigorous inspection procedures are a guarantee of excellence.

The NHP door

Enhanced energy-efficient performance

  • An airtight gasket runs all along the perimeter of the door. This seal, inspired by the automotive industry, not only reduces drafts but also improves the sound dampening properties of the door.
  • The High Performance system includes a second gasket that’s waterproof. The combination provides a supplemental shield proven to resist up to 540 Pa of pressure in water infiltration tests.
  • The High Performance door contains an extra half-inch of foam insulation and is perfectly adapted for the installation of triple-pane glass, manufactured with two layers of low-e film. As a result, the NHP door offers energy efficiency that’s clearly superior to that of a regular door.

Improved security and extended service life

  • The High Performance door is thicker and more resilient than any of the regular doors currently on the market. With a 2¼-inch thickness and 30-percent steel construction, it’s more secure and more resistant to damage than a traditional door.
  • The elegant PVC door sweep covered in anodized aluminum is exceptionally durable. Similarly, the edges of the door feature a rigid PVC coating that provides structural protection against severe weather, making the High Performance door more resilient and significantly prolonging its service life.
